Do you have any ideas about how track changes to the .sms files for the SmartMotor? I have yet to figure out a version control solution for the separate programs that I have written.

Hi... most users enter revision comments in their .sms files. The only other method is to issue a RCKS command after downloading the program. This will give a unique checksum of the downloaded .smx file.

I can do it with Git, using ideas from gist.github.com/nachocab/6429893 to get human-readable diffs.

Here's a perl script that converts the .sms files (rtf) to text:

use strict;
use RTF::TEXT::Converter;

while (my $rtf=shift(@ARGV)) {
	open RTF, $rtf or die "Cannot open $rtf: $!\n";

	my $converter = RTF::TEXT::Converter->new(
		output => \*STDOUT

	$converter->parse_stream( \*RTF );
	close RTF;
