Animatics SmartMotor™ with Phase Adjust Mode was the comprehensive solution for Burchfield Automation in Covington, Louisiana, who needed to use their Pan & Tilt positioning systems in while traveling over rough terrain.
The Phase Adjust Mode feature of the Class 5 SmartMotor was used as an effective vibration dampening measure to create stabilization on Burchfield Automation’s Pan & Tilt systems, achieving an impressive 300 degree per second gyro compensation and at a resolution just over one encoder count per arc second. Vibration dampening was just one of the ways that the SmartMotor enabled Burchfield Automation’s application success. How else did the SmartMotor lead to application success?
