We are pleased to announce that Ian Herron has joined the Animatics team as our new Director of Sales here at the Santa Clara office.
Ian joins Animatics with a broad range of experience in the Industrial Automation field. Most recently he worked at Kollmorgen (A Danaher Company) as the Northwest Account/Distribution Manager. Prior to this, Ian was at Minarik Automation & Controls in the roles of N.E. District Manager and Branch/Sales Manager for Minarik's Cleveland branch. Prior to joining Minarik, Ian had worked for three years in the non-profit sector as Director of Operations with the Cleveland Museum of Art, with responsibility for security, retail and merchandising, facilities, warehousing and the MEP component of a $285M construction project.
He started his industrial automation career with Parker Hannifin Corp – Compumotor Division as an Applications Engineer with primary responsibility for international and select national markets. He later joined Industrial Devices Corporation (IDC) as Applications Engineering Manager (N. California) and later Regional Sales Manager (based in Cleveland) with responsibility for several Midwestern states, New England, Eastern Canada and Puerto Rico. He also established IDC's European distribution network.
Ian has a highly diverse background and brings a wealth of industrial automation knowledge, great interpersonal skills, and a myriad of experience to Animatics. He is familiar with the automation business from both the supplier and the distribution perspective, and I have no doubt that his experience and capabilities will assist Animatics in providing you the dedicated sales support you deserve from Animatics.
