SmartBox - Customer Testing And Development

SmartBox, Animatics’ new handheld user interface, is designed to help you run and test OEM and Legend Series SmartMotor applications. The SmartBox is small and compact in size but it offers big returns in convenience and time savings. Its portability and simple operation make it ideal for use at remote locations to run SmartMotor’s functions and for onsite testing.

In addition, you can use SmartBox as a diagnostic tool to troubleshoot program operation and machine wiring. For example, if you program the SmartMotor to send an output signal after a motion is completed, the LED on the box will indicate that the signal is being sent.

The SmartBox consists of:
• Control panel with LED - Displays which function the SmartMotor is running.
• Switches:
   - Push the Selector switch up (SEL) to select a demonstration.
   - Push the Selector switch down (ENTER) to initiate the
selected demonstration.
• Analog Input - Control the analog input using the Analog Input dial. For example, use it to control speed.
• External Encoder Input - Generate encoder signals to the motor using the External Encoder Input dial.
• Cable with 15 pin D-sub I/O connector.
• Mode indicator legend printed on unit for easy reference.
• SmartBox schematic printed on unit for easy reference.

Pre-programmed SmartMotor Modes
Select from a variety of pre-programmed modes using the Selector switch. With SmartBox, you can simulate the following SmartMotor modes:

The SmartBox uses all the major connection protocols, including:
