I have an smart motor model:sm2320sq version 4.12
The software smart motor interface 2.11 does not recognize the motor.
Somebody can help me? May be an older version works?

Thanks

You can try the older versions at http://www.animatics.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=104&Itemid=9&dir=JSROOT%2Ftop+level%2F3.+SMI+Software+And+Drivers%2FSMI+Software/Archive
I think SMI2113 is the oldest based on it's size.

I found SMI version 1.22 but I think it will only run on Windows XP. Let me know if you have XP and I will try to find a way to send it to you.

Hi,

We had a equipment with SM1720M and controlled by the SMI v1.314.
I accidentally removed the SMI software.
Do you have the SMI v1.314?

I have a CNC machine that the computer started not talking to the daisy chain RS232 of 13 motors. Using SMI 3.0.0.29 and an oscilloscope, I see the nice square wave signals arriving at the receive pin on the DB15 connector of motor 1. (Motors are SM3416D-DE, V4.15.) And they are being commanded to ECHO. But I get no response on the transmit pin of motor 1. Only 1 LED is lit on the motor. It's red. But earlier, it was green but still had the communication problem. I've tried power cycles repeatedly. Sometimes when I do that, SMI find the first or second motor and then lose communication.

I found at another place on the forum that someone had trouble with getting SMI to find motors and he found that if he went back to an obsolete version of SMI, his problems all went away. Being I do have a legacy version of motors, maybe that's my problem. The original computer actually failed and so I don't have the legacy version of SMI to try. Is there a copy of a legacy version of SMI that I could try? I've looked around on the website and didn't come up with anything.
