I have a SM1720 motor version 4.15b. It's connected to an Ultra Motion linear actuator to perform cyclic displacement. I have a program in LabVIEW that can allow either manual control using an optical encoder (Honeywell 600-120-CBL) or can be programmed to run a certain number of cycles at a certain frequency, etc. I am running this setup in an incubator. It's worked great for the last 10 months or so. A few days ago, the manual control stopped responding. I rewired everything and checked all the cables for current. All the wiring is fine. I then checked the port of the motor to see if it was producing 5V as it should. It was. The only thing I can think of it the port has become corroded on the interior of the motor and may not be receiving the signal. Any ideas? Also is there an easy way to open the motor to check? I have very little experience with this sort of thing, so any help would be greatly appreciated!!

You can use the SMI2 software from our website to connect to the motor and read the I/O with the Motor View window.
